Dave Thanks for your comments. Original image taken on a bright overcast day in the uk and I cheated by spraying with a water spray. As it was in the "wild" the background wasa bit messy so decided to chop and out and mount this way. I wasn't sure if the top right thing worked either. I might try another with the rose moved down into one of the more classical composition places and see how that goes. Thanks for the welcome been a member of another critique board before but much prefer the "feel" here.
A beautiful image of the rose, Dave, with lots of colour and detail, especially those great water droplets! It looks very good against the black background, as well. My only nitpick is the composition is maybe a little too far off center, up in the corner of the frame. A very nice image, though, and welcome to UF! Dave.
