Oh, now I got it! Yes, I find the idea great too, so (unfortunately) I have to get up early (*%&+%) So what we do for a good shot!
It could do good to photograph the scene from another point, and (perhaps) get the mountain on the back replaced by the lake, which I think, might look better, since its color is much brighter.
Well, many possibilities, and I thank you for the enlightening!
Best wishes,
Nick

Nick I've only considered that the mass of the less interesting mountain covers the beauty of three, snow and red bench. My proposal were simply to get up early in the morning and shot again; sorry. I have in mind a composition with the focus of the attention on the red bench over the white snow with the lamp standing by for company. Somethig like the version in attachment. Only that. Ciao.

Thank you very much, Nessa. I have more of these branch formations with snow, and I like them so much, so I'll be posting them in future.
Best wishes
Nick

Hi Giuseppe, and thank you very much! We have so much winter here, that shooting nice pictures of trees in snow is not so hard ;-)
About the half circle, well, I cropped the image, do you mean it this way? I find it indeed a bit better if that circle is no more there.
About covering the mountain, well, what did you cover it with? Can you include the image so that I can see better?

Thank you very much, Ace! Those trees look indeed a bit mysterious, they call them "Devil's trees" here, because they have their roots in the air and the branches in the earth, as they say.
Best wishes,
Nick

Nick, I have seen four splendid images of trees in the snow. I am in trouble to say wich is better: all are "better". You must be gratefull to the person who placed that photogenic red benches in the right places! I tried two things in your beautifull pictures: in the first one, to erase that damned half circle on the wright, without success naturelly; in the second to cover the mountain over the lake: in this case the image is improved, in my opinion; in your? Ciao.
