Lovely work, Mark. Five different images is kind of like being in five places at once in one photograph.

It works alright! No inkling this is a composite, and the subject is both surreal and a bit scary. /Hansi

Hi George
Thanks for your honest critique. In a way I feel the same way the image needs some other supporting element to make it complete. Maybe it will come to me. Thanks for looking.

Hi Manu
Thanks for the comment mate. I agree the base could do with some extra work as could a couple of other things. I worked on this with my powerbook using my scroll pad not my usual graphics tablet. It was a painful exersise and something I will revisit.
The object in the picture is not a scarecrow but a jacket placed over a roadside cross.
Take care mate.

Great piece of comping, Mark...love the resulting colors and depth of tones...well done. The only area that I feel needs more work is around the base of the scarecrow, if that's what it is? Difficult area but I think it could be worth it...
Cheers for now

Hi Mark. You did a good job in drawing the focus on the subject. It immediately grabbed my attention in its presentation. Unfortunately, I was not able to make an emotional connection to the object. That was the important ingredient that was missing for me here. However, it is still effective in a visual level.

I wrote a second comment to you but it disappeard. I sid that i went back to the page 6 in your portfolio, there you have some work that remind me of this. Could it be the same theme? All of them make me wanna have some on my wall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also your abadone shots (interiour) are so GREAT!
Well, you will not find ant link to the swedish grapic art astist, so i think i will have to scan one and post as an attachment, so you can see for your self!

Yepp - went directly to my favorites!!!! This is so surreal and strong as well as magic, as a fairy tale. You also make me think of an Swedish artist making graphic art, Åke Johansson. He have done a book "From a Shipwrecked Continent"... a remarkable work! As yours!!!7+
