Both Hawes shots are great, but I prefer this one. Why ? The eyes can follow the wall into the scene nicely, and the foreground is somewhat more interesting.

Personally, I like the lens flare. I could've cloned them out (easy enough in this case) but chose not to. It would be interesting to read what others think.

Wow this is wonderful, Alan! well composed! My only comment is that i see a lens flare somwhere in the left... it think that distracts the entire image. just an opinion..  rgrds, Larry

Love these walls and was a dream of mine to one day have some of my own...very nice perspective,contrast level and good saturation of color...quite the ominous clouds and love how the light hits the background pasture...gayle
