Thanks, Roberto. Patch is a wonderful and stately cat-- and he's not afraid of the camera (a nice change from my other cat).

This feels like a strong composition, Christine. I asociate this with a globe, mapping the earth and the viewer is positioned on the threshold of a voyage.

That's georgeous, Christine! It seems as if a play on the oft repeated motif of an infants hand curled around an adult finger. Here there is not only contrast of scale but also of animal species.

Great expression. This is the look I get when my dog is waiting for me to change locations and is anticipating following me or getting a treat.
Thanks for capturing "the look".

The eyes in this image are pure magic! The fur is soft and fluffy but those eyes are perfectly sharp. There is something about this photograph I find very appealing. Makes me want to take this puppy home with me. Cathy

Dear Christine,
one of the first memories of my life is running after a cat into some nettles. I must have been 2 years old, but that didn't discourage me from loving cats all my life. All my youth my hands & arms were scratched from playing-fighting with them. Today we live in a home that really is Ginger's, the cat who graciously allows us feed & groom her. On top of that there are 8 cats (Angora-tail, Snow-white {named by our grand-daughter} etc.) who live in a garden across our home, know me on sight & are fed by all the neighbors. I feed them once a week, but I give them a special treat: meat from a can. They love it & I love them in return.
Best regards,
Rafi

Hi Rafi-- your picture of the wild kitten is very nice, it shows vulnerabilty of the little guy. It's hard to see them and not to help. I'm glad that you were able to find him again. It gives me great pleasure to be able to help those little ones that can't help themselves.

The kitten in this picture is a different one than in "Happy". We had over 100 kittens in our program this spring... that's a lot of kittens!!

Thanks for looking and commenting on my pictures, Rafi.

Good news!
Today I found the kitten I told you about last time at the spot I last saw it. It seemed to be recovering well, it recognised me & gladly received & ate some cat-food I always carry in my pocket, guarding it against a much bigger cat that tried to steal it. By the way, is the kitten in your photo the same one as in your "Happy?"
Best regards,
Rafi

Looking at our previous correspondence on these pages, I saw that it was over a year old & thought that was a pity, as
http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1137748
seems to indicate that our interests are similar. I hope your kitty fares better than mine, as mine disappeared a few days after I captured its photo. It was probably disposed of by the forces that be before I could rehabilitate it sufficiently for it to be able to fend for itself.
Thank you for your kind comment on my photo.
Best regards,
Rafi

Definately cute, and looks full of life. From a photographic point of view the highlights on the paws are burned out, whilst the rest of the kitten looks quite dark, and the image is very grainy/noisey. The noise is probably down to the ISO you used, although you don't specify what you used, a lower ISO generally gives you less noise. For the lighting, with such a range of tones on the kitten, I would have shot this inside, with some diffused flash. A small point, but the little bits of what look like kitty litter stuck on the paws look a little off putting.

Her eyes say it all "How could someone abandon me?". Thank you for sharing the picture and such an emotional story. I love cats and recently myself adopted a kitten who had been abandoned. He's "Hemlock" in some of my photos.

Good luck at the shelter and hopefully the ASPCA can nab the person(s) who abused her and your others.

Cheers
