AH HA!! You're correct. I spent the last few hours googling variations of "struture at northern foot of golden gate bridge" and came accross a geographical guide of the area. The area is called Lime Point, and there was a light house there. Here is some info if you are interested:

Nice macro Christine.
I need to start doing some insect shots myself.
You managed to get nice detailseven in such a difficult background.
BTW, I re-posted my wood duck shots and I want to get your opnion.
If you want to get some shots of that duck, now is the perfect opportunity. They are elusive and skitish, but the one in Half Moon Bay is very cooperative.

Hi Christine, I did a little internet searching and couldn't find anything that referenced a similar building with a photo. It looks like it may have had a lighthouse on the structure on the right at one time.

Very nice shot of the Heron. Contrast and lighting are excellent as are the colours. I like the typical sitting and waiting position of the Heron, and you certainly have captured it nicely. The background is great too. Well done, best regards.

I like this compo where shapes and materials are the main point of interest.
Still the simmetry is no properly correct because the lover right side is not parallel with the edge of the image.
Furthermore a little touch of sharpness would improve the whole.
At the end... I like so much your project and i commented this shot for all the series. take care

i love it as a cat lover my self (i have 2 Moya and Shadow) i like looking at cat photos to bad i can not have more but if i got a 3rd Shadow would pull a pillow over my head when i was a sleep and sit on it lol

thanks for your comment, Paul. I looked at your image, and I have one from almost the exact same perspective-- the needle sure is photogenic, isn't it?! I had to expose a few to get it just right, too...
