interesting lines and attention to architectural detail, great shadows, too.

interesting use of DOF, almost makes it feel as if the tree is sandwiched between the blurring

good control of dof and color contrast, aside from some blowout in the highlight areas it's a great photo

Nice shot, it looks quite menacing for being so small; it would be nice to see the whole of him

great capture, a bold use of shapes and shadows, interesting contrast between sharp angular lines and the gentle curves of the outside brace work and its shadow

great lighting, I love the lamp's reflection of itself

great capture, the sky is incredible, so much so that it almost makes me want to see the photo without the tree tops in the bottom left corner, either that or more of them to give the photo a sense of grounding

interesting b/w - the texture across the hide is great, just wish there were a little more across the top left

great P.O.V., almost makes the ladder seem perilous

striking, flushed with a sense of vertigo - though I wonder how it would play with the bottom most yellow bar were to be cropped out

1/31/2009 6:14:17 AM

great use of strong, angular lines - almost wonder what it would look like in b/w with the contrast pushed somewhat

great use of black and white, interesting concept with the caption, the only thing I could suggest is a little deeper DOF

good capture, full of energy, love the detail across the tail and in the fine grits of dirt being kicked up

Nice composition; interesting how the clouds seem to echo the jagged spires of the rocks

great use of a single light, surprising amount of detail in the shadow area under her neck, only wish the fall off was similar over across her hair as it is below the chin

thank you for your comment dave, but the photo actually wasn't photoshopped together, all I did in PS was adjust the color, the rest was just good timing (although we did rehearse a few times before shooting), thanks again!

good shot overall, the similar tonality between her face and the sky behind gives her almost a ghostly presence, but I would like to see a little more contrast between her hair and the sky (if not just a slight bit more in the face), other than that it is a fine photo

great composition, I think the eye-line at that level was an excellent choice, it gives the photo a sense of tension that I think really works with the subject matter
