Good day Bill . This image was shot using the Nikkor 300mm f4 AF-s lens with a TC14EII 1.4x TC attached . The camera was tripod mounted , but the ballhead was left slack and the camera / lens was hand stabilized . Also a SB800 flash was used
in TTL mode and knocked down to -1ev . Thanks for commenting .

Oh , I'm still alive and kick'n . I've been so busy shooting sports over the last few months that I simply have not had the time to shoot anything worthy of posting . The kid's season is almost over so hopefully I will be here more often:) Thanks for the comments Bill :)

Thanks Bill . I wish I could have avoided the hot spot on the wing , but , the Mallard flew right into an area of bright sunlight and there simply was no avoiding it . Now , having said that , I certainly could have fixed it post processing , but I tend to not like doing that . This image is ( with it's flaws ) , the way it was at that time . Thanks again for taking the time to comment . I appreciate it .
