I am looking VERY hard at either a Nikkor 200mm AF-s VR f2 , or , a 300mm AF-s II f2.8 :) My current 300mm AF-s f4 is already pre sold so I need a replacement .

Thank you Bill . It's been very hectic for me lately and I have not had much time to post images . Plus , I've been concentrating on "acquiring" another lens . Good grief :)

Cool capture Bill ! Is your camera in mode III color ? The colors seem overly saturated which is indicative of a mode III jpeg .

Yep , the D1x produces fairly large files that are actually beyond what 10mp offers . It's a good thing :)

You are absolutely right Bill . This is precisely why I "invested" in the hardware to properly calibrate each and every monitor that I own . It makes a HUGE difference as far as accuracy and consistancy goes . But , sometimes , certain websites seem to "alter" the color just a bit from the original image . No big deal though . The original image is correct and that's all that really matters .

Thanks Bill . For whatever reason , when this image was converted to sRGB for the web , the blues were "enhanced" ( a bit too much for my taste ) . The original Adobe1998 version is more accurate and pleasing ( to me ) .

Thank you Bill . The more I use the D1x , the more I like it . It is a very good camera . Too bad you cannot see the original , hi res version that is 70mb :)

Thank you Bill . I do like the 70-200VR lens . It's a very useful focal length for me . VR helps too ( although I did not use it for this shot ) :)
