I'm not sure if you wanted this rated or not, but FWIW. Nice composition with the diagonal. Not much you can do about the lighting. The flying does strike a sense of awe. Great photo, well done.

One November day, I had an afternoon to wander up Lawrence Grassi's trail and see those golden trout cruizing the little lakes. That short hike is one of the enchanted secrets of Canmore. The next time I go I'll take the tripod and camera! I glanced through your portfolio, Dave. Interesting ideas, some creative work there. Cheers.

So this is the MIRV end of the flight? Are they really Trident or are they from landbased boosters. You may wish to see my portfolio for an image from the ascent phase. A VERY interesting picture you have posted. Thanks. - John

I like it! Bow river parkway? The one foreground tree on the left is enough out of focus to be worthy of cropping or moving to the right. Still the picture captures the luminance of the scene. - J

I like your picture Dave, but I think it could improve with a little cropping. I hope you don't mind that I took your picture and did a little to see what it might look like. Randy

Very Very Cool Shot. Tell me, did you slowly focus in during the 15 seconds, or did you wait the majority of the shot and then quickly move in?

Photos like this inspire people to try new ideas with their cameras; nice job.

Dave - I agree with Magda and Tomasz. I took a look at your portfolio and you have an eye for some very nice scenes. You might read up on neutral gradient filters. So many of the scenes you like are more than film can handle and the filter puts you back into control. I missed Bow lake on my trip to Banff/Jasper. Now I have something to go back for! Keep Shooting you are doing fine. - J

Nice photo, good DoF, however I think the composition might be a bit different. The way the photo is at the moment, the left hand upper corner is overexposed 'burned out'. And it is dostracting for the whole composition. I understand that you wanted to show the fern and the trees, but I think that by cropping out overexposed part, the photo looks a bit better. What do you think? Tomasz
