Hey Charles,
I went to see your blog and really enjoyed the whole series. It was just hillarious. I hope both cat and dog are fine.

That's a good one. Reminds me of Japanese ghost stories, where faceless ghosts scare the hell out of lonely travellers. They firstly appear as ordinary humans, then make their features disappear leaving a blank sheet of skin where their faces should be. Otherwise they're said to be harmless:)

the light filtered through the stained glass is even more amazing than the stained glass itself. those walls look like they were inlaid with gems. Awesome!

You have a unique and very creative style. I love your visual metaphors.

Thanks everyone,
glad you liked my green water picture. As I said the water is really THAT green, so no filters and no PS manipulations. I don't even know what makes it so green, but it stains the rocks, too. Could be algae (though I haven't seen any slimy deposits) or copper... or some other mysterious compound:)

fokstrot
well, it'd be quite difficult to get anybody under the water, because the stream is really small (30in wide probably) but I liked the idea:)
now the stream is all gone because it's winter and the campus is covered in snow. in spring i'll get a suitable body under the water and run a new series:)

alain,
now I feel spoiled:) I'm not much into shooting rocks under water, but that was a lucky day (squirrel capture considered).

This is an outstanding image. I wonder why nobody noticed it. Not only the colours and shapes are beautifully combined, but the water gives it a dreamlike feeling. Well done! 7+

A superb macro. Hope you didn't get scratched (mine has quite a temper and hates the camera)

I know how difficult low light environments are, so I think this one looks really good for a concert. I tried many times to take pics at concerts and they were pretty much useless:)

I guess individuals such as this ensure the long term survival of our species by removing themselves from the gene pool in one way or another. Standing 15ft away from a stag & taking pics with the camera phone could serve the purpose:) I hope he's still alive and well.
PS. great shot! (yours, I mean:)

One of my friends saw the thumbnail and asked me if it was a rat. So I guess the tumbnail wasn't too much help in this case:)
Thanks a lot for being supportive Alain. I love browsing through your images, too. In fact, you have a link in my favourites.
