I think the DOF is great. If you sharpened the edges, the nest would have had more definition, but home is on the inside. I guess it depends what you're going for.

Aww! What emotion! I like it...good capture. I would suggest trimming a little bit of the bottom to focus on the facial expression, but it's wonderful!
