Hi Pat,

She is a beautiful child, and here you've caught her in a very different moment than in "wow". One wonders, was this before or after the wow experience?

Great job.

Best wishes,

David

Hi Lars,

Absolutely wonderful.....the lines, forms, sense of movement, all terrific. And of course the dramatic high-contrast b&w look.

Excellent photo.

Hi Ted,

Interesting, unique look. A wonderful scene, and made even more intriguing by your use of the filter.

Well done.

Hi Conny,

It works as a candid, and as part of your documentation series. Lilly is also very pretty, and her expression to the camera is pleasing. Will you be posting more of the series?

Best wishes,

David

Hi Sandy,

Powerful words, powerful image.

They reflect a theme too few find sensitivity for.

(I'm glad you do.)

Hi Dimitris,

Well, in my opinion it's a very sensual and quite effective photo.

Hi Augusto,

Very dramatic lighting in this pleasing landscape.

(Looks like some dust spots in the sky could be cloned out.)

Nicely done.

Hi Nick,

Interesting photo, and very well executed. I like how the scene is arranged, especially the slightly "wobbly" stacking of the bowls.

Well done.

Hi Elena,

Very very nice shot. The lushness of the green, along with the 3-dimensionality, make this appealing.

Good job!

Hi Raffaele,

Absolutely wonderful!! Color with the Provia is extremely pleasing.

And yes, I can imagine that there'd be some blur with the 300mm at 1/250, but you've done extremely well to nail this beautiful shot.

Best wishes,

David

Hi Ursula,

Superb! Your work always has a delicate emotionality which is impossible to resist. This one is certainly no exception to that.

Those dark eyes are both shy and haunting.

Excellent photo.

Wonderful, Paolo.

Such great texture, and you've given the composition just the right variety and number of distinct elements.

Excellent.

Hi Mr. Ppdix,

Yes, the boots are great.....but more so the pose and expressions. I think it's effective that these girls seem a bit unsure of themselves, and a bit uneasy with the camera.

In any case, this photo shows your usual technical flare, like so many others in your gallery. (I especially like all the Paola shots, and the one titled "Vero".)

Always look forward to seeing your work.

Best wishes,

David

I agree completely with Louise's comments.

Lots of impact, and great choice to convert to b&w.

Hi Wim,

I like it. Tim has an expression of dignity and (perhaps) obstinence, which gives the photo a lot of character.

And I know how difficult it can be to get sons to cooperate for a good portrait.

Fine job.

Hi Teunis,

What a soothing image.

And I like how you've composed it with the diagonal of the boat pointing to the upper right corner.

Hi Phillip,

Simply beautiful. Images like this make it well worth getting out of the studio occasionally! :-)

The reflections are gorgeous, particularly the (birch?) tree right of center.

Hi Felipe,

Excellent! Eye-catching. Love the diagonals, and of course the light and dark.

What was this a procession of/for?

Hi Paco,

I like this as much as the other you posted earlier. Interesting choice to have Jorge close his eyes. Is that meant to be symbolic?

The colors in this image really pop. Wonderful.

Hi Sandy,

Such expressive eyes! One only imagines the lively conversation that will soon erupt in the foreground, while supposedly "serious" words are being exchanged by the background figures.

Nicely seen, cleverly titled, and beautifully captured.

Hi Allen,

Magnificent tiger portrait. I think you did well with the metering. That's a huge lens to be carrying around!

I'm a little surprised at the color from the E100VS.....did you desaturate a bit in Photoshop? I think it looks very good, and absent the garrishness that I sometimes get with VS.

Hi Teunis,

Very nice image, as is usual from you! This one has the symbolism of journeying into deep (but protected) places. I like the light that we see in the distance.

Best wishes,

David
