Good macro, Mike. Not sure that I would want to get too close to this guy. I tend to use my telephoto lens for these kind of shots. Gives me more space between me and them. I'll show you my spider shot next upload, which will probably be Thursday night. Cheers, Ann. p.s. Thank you for your comment on my frog pic.

Thanks Chelsea, I think this one was gone by the time I got to him, and I only had a couple of seconds before the spider was out and wrapping him up, I was fascinated, that shot will come later tonight when I can upload again

Thanks Joggie, I have a polarizer but not for that attachment, I should probably get one and do as you suggest, the place where I shot this has heaps and heaps of spider webs and insects.. good hunting grounds

Interesting image Mike, especially since one can barely see the spider web. I thought a polarizer would bring out the blue in the sky an with slightly darker, more saturated tones this can be outstanding. Kind regards

Wonderful shot, good focus and exposure, nice clear background. That must be a strong web to hold a dragonfly of that size. Knowing that dragonflies can eat over 200 mosquitoes per day, I've been known to rescue them from these types of situations....AFTER having taken the shot...
