Well picked, You have a good perspective for this shot, I love the reflections and the way the trees are drawn to the water.

This image is playing with my mind, are you using a short lense to distort the trees, ie bend them?? Effect is good!

You could be right in some instances, I tend to try it at the camera (while taking the photo) by using the light metre and then underexposing the image by half or even sometimes a full F stop (in really bright conditions), I find this can really bring out the colours more vividly. Have a trial and see what you think.

Why do people not put down the settings of the photo?? I would like to learn how to do some decent portraits, and this is one worth learning off! Beautiful expression and nicely framed! Was the hair coloured to match the dress or the other way around?

Beautiful scenery Emin, you have shot using your own brush here, THe sky top left is fairly bright given what your light was, and your shutter speed, I would consider speeding the shutter up (no more than 1/60) and allowing less light in for this shot, and increasing the contrast in the shot as well. Nicely done.
I took this shot and had a bit of a play in Photoshop to increase the saturation a little, what do you think? I might have overdone it a little..

The symmetry you have chosen for this shot works well, good perspective and great DOF! good photo!
Was the person in the background staged? The interest there is good, it draws my eye closer in and to inspect what is happening!

I can see how the light played havoc with the settings you had to use, I love the scene, but I wonder if you get a chance to shoot those conditions again if you might set the ISO to a level where you have more choices with the aperture and shutter speed.

Hi Chris, if this is the Perentie Goanna (only two have the distinctive yellow spots in tiger stripes that i have seen) then it can grow to 2 and a half meters, or about 8 feet (second largest lizard behind the Komodo dragon), it could be a rosenburg, which is significantly smaller but it is out of its known range..

Yes Elisa, I wish it was a tad sharper too, I am still practising the panning and snapping techniques, and I don't use autofocus, it tends to be too slow, and by the time the camera figures out where it wants to be the subject has already decided to leave the scene! subjects can be so inconsiderate like that!

After looking through your portfolio, with the exception of one or two captures, I dare say that the warmer end of the spectrum make up your favourite colours.. A great capture, I love the way you have stopped the motion. I would be interested in seeing any shots you might have with a longer stream into the glass and no bottle? or am I being too messy? Have you traded the height to make it a little more compact?

This shot intrigues me, the soft detail of the sky, the detail in the stones and the structure and the splash of golden colour have my eye searching all over your photo. I feel it could have been a bit sharper, but regardless, nicely done.
