Beautiful work. If I didn't think the word was a bit cheesy I would have said it was a 'magical' shot but I do, so I'll say it's awe inspiring. It looks fantastic.

No comment on your comment Bob. It was bloody worth it though wasn't it? It's a very good shot, and now that we know that you had to suffer in freezing water for it, it's even better. (HE HE HE) That waterr looks very silky and beautiful. I like your blue border but I think it would have been better if you had them on the top side as well.

Oh hell. Summer is ending isn't it? Let's all go to Australia. Spring is just beginning there. The harshly lit background broken up by black bars represents the inevitability of SUMMERS END to me. Very smartly composed. Very sharp. I suppose that beach would be full of people at the height of Summer. Oh well, I suppose we have to wait one more year for sunshine and Ice Cream.

Very good B&W photo. It is as haunting as much as it is uplifting. The two beams of light are almost like the ghosts of what they represent. This was taken 09/11/2003 No?

He he he. Looking for 'wisdom' in the wine cellar? I think you'll find plenty there.

This is a great composition. A little more contrast would have been better, I agree, but this is great nevertheless.

FALL ISN'T COMING!!!! (Am I in denial you think?) Very nice composition. Very sad. (That's just me though. Sunsets depress me.)

Very very scary. It looks as if the doors are going to slowly swing open, and Nosferatu is going to walk towards the camera in slow inevitability. I'm scared.

It truly is a part of heaven, crashlanded into a rather unconsciously industrialised island. This beach will be lost before a preservation law is passed or is active, yet such is the case in countries where the primary interest is jobs and welfare. In North Cyprus job opportunities are dismal and some people don't earn enough even to support themselves. It is perfectly normal that industrialisation is put before preservation, because the first means jobs, the latter means maybe some jobs but not enough. The point is when there is enough welfare, there won't be anything left to preserve and we will all choke to death, breathing our own lungs' export. ('Future Noir' isn't it? Sorry!)

PS: Inanc the painting is made with simple acryllics and PVA glue. I'll explain when I see you next.

Very good Idea. 'Flag'????!!!!! How can a single syllable mean so much? Unfortunately, we seem to live in a world in which a flag means a lot. It can make people kıll one another, it can make people not talk to one another, and it can make people mad at one another. How weird it is that the flag itself is made of fabric and dye, which probably would have preferred to be made into t-shirts, or projection screens, or anything a lot more mundane and innocent than a flag, for a flag is anything but innocent. Moral of the story: Patriotism is a dangerous weapon in the wrong hands. And the bullet this weapon fires is called a flag.

Fan-bloody-tastic. Wisdom indeed. I can imagine an elder descending that staircase. I agree with you about the overexposed top corners of 'Pirates. I think a thin black border would help me there. pO))

Chilling and thrilling. Magnetic mood captured in an unbeliavably realistic manner, with such a perfect blend of mystery and inevitability. I've had a look at the rest of your portfolio on this site as well. You shoot fantastic pictures.

This is a very inspiring picture. There are no tricks or anything, it just lets you connect with the subject matter, which is this ancient artwork. One can feel time taking its toll on it, along with vandalism, and theft, which I think should be visible. We like it or not, these acts are now a part of history. Sharper colours would make the composition richer I think.

Very subliminal. Almost abstract. 'Donut' could have been another good title. Or 'Abscence of matter at centre point'. Actually, forget that last one.

Magnifiscent. The vastness of the space set agaiinst the relatively miniscule chair. Looks like an empty stage. ))

Silhouettes fade, to be replaced by details. As we see more and more details, we realise we have been looking in the mirror all these years. The strange silhouette was ours, and so are the details. The bitter revelation is, all those years ago, we hadn't fought the enemy, we had fought ourselves. And we all lost. 30 years and two generations later, perhaps there is a small but distinct opportunity to piece together the shattered Cypriot identity. This is a photograph where the artist isn't only taking the picture of a man, but he's also taking a picture of Cyprus. This is a picture of Cypriots, for Cyprus.
