Un sole calante, una riva, dei piedi bagnati, confinati sotto della sottilissima sabbia.

Nicely done! This photo surprised me when opened from the thumbnail. I did not expect the pictures within the picture! The lamp post placement and the patterned background is great.

La foto č molto bella, hai utilizzato la porta come cornice in un modo molto efficace. Il risultato č che tutta l'immagine č inquadrata da un forte e preciso punto di vista, come con timdezza, con una forma di rispetto verso il soggetto.
Attenta alla tecnica di contrasto che non rischi di rendere artificiale il tutto.

Molto bella Ceci ! Un taglio curato, la zona scura che divide la tenda dal muro trovo accentui molto l'effetto profondita' a tutto vantaggio dell'immagine. Colori molto naturali. Complimenti.....Ciao....Walter

Hi John, you notice something right. In the original the sky was blue but not so brillant. I made some changes playing with inverted selections and regulating the colour separately.
Perhaps it will be better leaving the picture as it was but I like the contrast between the blu of the sky and the arch.

Lovely composition - I especially like the asymmetry you've caught in the arch (which is in reality perfectly symmetrical, I'm sure!) It provides a great frame for the mosque, with the highest point of the arch above the top of the minaret - very clever.
I have an issue with the colours though - while the sky is a fabulous blue, the mosque itself looks rather burnt out.

nice scene, I like the architecture.. the highlights of the building in the distance are a bit blown out. This is probably because the camera's metering was focused on the archway. I am sure the sun was pretty bright especially in Morocco. Reducing the exposure a few stops would help greatly. Another technique is two take multiple images of the same scene at different exposure settings (one for the arch and the other for the building in the distance). This would allow you to combine the images later and have the proper exposure settings for both subjects of the image. I like the composition, good use of the arch as a frame... nicely seen and captured.

I think that all my enthusiasm is also your enthusiasm. When have you been there?
I think that the only reason to go again to Casablanca can be the possibility to stand again in that big space looking to the mosquee. I regret that I can't tale a picture from the side of the ocean. It was really incredible to see such a big building just near the ocean.
Perhaps you are right for the building in the right. I can crop that part and eventually post it again.

I do like the perspective in this one, with the lines of the open paved expanse leading to the minaret. But I agree with Hugo on the inbalance caused by the building on the right.

Hi Cecilia, This photo brings back memories... What an awesome building the Mosque hassan II is!
I'm not sure about the effect of incuding the building on the right, IMO, it seems to unbalance the composition a bit, as nothing counters that shape, except the blue void of ocean and sky. Very good contrast and tones, though. Exactly as I remember..>
