Nice work. Great colors, scene, and beautiful framing from the trees. The size is good--you might want to apply an unsharpen filter though or selectively sharpen the tree tops after reducing, as they are soft here.

I like the idea, cool stuff indeed ! It is daring, but it works allright.

I like how the fence posts echoe the trees, and the horse back the main farm building's arched roof ! Farfetched ? Well, maybe, but from the strict graphical point of view, this is what caught me even from the thumbnail. From my monitor too I must say it is a bit overexposed.

Beautiful composition.. yet I think it is kind of a harsh lighting

The red white and blue makes it very American feeling - all it needs is a little apple pie! I find the melted snow on the roof a little distracting, maybe try the shot again later in Spring when the snow is melted. Also, I'd crop in just a tad tighter on the left to take out the very thin blue line of sky.

Rachelle,

I think this is a good shot but could be a bit better. Maybe if it was under different lighing or maybe in B&W. I do like the comp and DOF

Thank you all so much for your comments. I look forward to returning to this spot in the future to try it again with a more spring-like landscape and without the twigs. Please do feel free to add to "Friends" - a person can never have too many and I would be honored.

The bouncing arches offer quite a dynamic compostion. It is very effective. As for the twigs, they're pretty all right, although I share your hesitation about whether they complement or dispute the main view. As for the lighting, I think the exposure is on the high side : we loose some details of the branches in front of the open sky.
I really appreciate your work and if you allow, I'll add your name to my 'friends" list.
