I would crop a little portion of the sky, I think that would improve this beautiful image. Anyway I like this shot very much.

Thanks Raoul. My first thought when I saw this image was, "what a perfect sky, clouds as well". Sydney really goes for it at night then.

This shot is the bottom end of Sydney Australia. Taken from the top of my (at the time) apartment building. Was about 9pm on a weekday, Sydney gets VERY quiet after about 7pm.

Interesting thing was, that at the time, the sky was totally dark. This 10 second exposure brought out all those fabulous blues... if it weren't for the colours, I think it would be a rather bland shot?

Terrific night shot with lots of interest. Very quite no cars or people. What time was it?

Raoul: Yes, this second version is much better. Clouds are quite dramatic, it's nice.

The composition is great and so is the subject. This building is just so great for photos. I agree with Igor about the sky being so contrasting at the top of the photo. I like your retry (the small one you just posted) much better. Regards, Anouschka

It's nice picture but I think that this upper part of darker sky shouldn't be so contrasting. Did you use red/orange filter for it? If yes I think that It was unnecessary. I would crop this upper part or waited for more light clouds when taking it.

bye, Igor

Or: "The attack of the alien ducks"

Strange photo, with very hard light, and a interesting use of focus.
Well done!

I think you mean 'swimming', Raoul, but don't worry about it!
It's a shame that the duck in the foreground are not in focus.
Nice idea, just a pity the light's a bit harsh.
Regards, Chris.
