Oh my word what a fantastic shot so detailed and the use of the lovely painted nails not only add colour but perspective and are a great background to show off the his toes. I think this is a remarkable shot and cannot imagine how it ended up with a rating of 4.9 the DOF is good the composition is good - it is definiteley 7+++++++++++++

What a beautiful composition, love the way the bird and the whole of the little branch he is on is in sharp focus and then the background just fades. Great capture

Excellent, got both the eyes and the details of his fingers in focus. The frog could be any size (he looks huge) so like the use of the fingers for scale.

Would like to have seen the tutle fully in the frame if possible, but good placement otherwise. Flash is a little hot around the neck too.

But I'm a sucker for the underwater shots - I like it

While the idea was novel, I think you missed a bit on this one. First, the streaming lights at the top of the frame really disect the image and call too much attention. Also, while moving the child and taking creative liberty with the boot removal, I like the placement of the original better than your revamp. In the original photo, the mailbox gave enough scale. Also, the lack of facial capture makes the image isolated. Nice try, but keep shooting.

Great DOF composion and color. Its expression just says, "I'm waiting patiently for mom to return." Soo cute!

Hello. First, thanks for your comment on my water balloon fight picture! Anyways, I really this like photo. I'm just a beginning photographer and have yet to try some closeups of plants...but I think they're pretty...just like the photo! Like your comment, I like the contrast of purple against the orange, it's cool!

Ha! The thumbnail doesn't do this photo justice! I thought the arches were just neat details of architectural stone.

Good eye spotting this, Lauren. Another worthy addition to your fine portfolio.

Thank you both. Alisa, I actually kept the mailbox on purpose thinking it helped show Emma's next destination, but if it's not obvious what it is, then you're right, I should make it less distracting.

I like hat you've done with the image... it's such a different feel from the original. I think the outcome was well worth the time and effort spent changing this.
