Thanks for the feedback Clive. I agree with the straightened horizon, but I thought the original untouched shot seemed to match my daughter's stature.

Hi Shane, to my old eye's, this image looks a little on the dull side considering the time of day (assume late afternoon).
Just a small adjustment with the levels command would fix this.
Here is my version, I straightened the horizon and used levels to give it more punch. Hope you like it.

I know this constellation! Of course I also live in the Southern Hemisphere. Great capture. I have to try this kind of photographs when I get my tripod (hopefully this weekend). Regards

Excellent capture! Orion's belt will be there next time, but not comet McNaught ;) I like the way the trees provide a frame for the comet. Best regards

what a shame, you can't see orion's belt very well....that pesky comet got in the way! great shot shane....i wish i would've caught the comet when it was visible in the north. well done.
