Wow.
Amazing shot.
Buildings such as this should be capture. I always like to go back and find out as much as possible if it is historic at all!

Thanks for your comment! This is a single image. I composed the photo to include the lights and then took a number of 30 second exposures, picking the shot with the best lightning once I got home.

Is this a composite of more than one exposure Chris? Your timing is fantastic regardless of the number. The exposure and composition of the strikes is excellent. One of my most favorite photo subjects. I like this one very much. Thanks -john

Well observed and nicely composed, Chris. The reflection makes this image for me and the foreground detail helps anchor the shot. You're right about the cloud adding balance and the only thing that's really missing is some of that good old Joe Cornish sunset glow on those cliffs. But, as you say nature sometimes thwarts the photographer by allowing the sun to set in the wrong place! Worth a return trip at a different time of the year?

Great shot, but I think I'd like it better if it were cropped above the seaweed, it's a little distracting to me

Beautiful shot. Nice timing with the water receeding showing the crips clarity and reflection of the sky.
