Hi Jen, yes it's rice. These rice terraces are all over this mountain range. On the western part of this cordillera mountain range, they grow vegetables on the mountains, incredible scenery, vegetables all over as far as you eyes can see. But very hard to capture because it's always cloudy at least every time I pass the area.

oh my... so great landscape, so special one, the stair texture really is impressive and gives an idea about a small area... and ONLY when I see the village and how ...tiny are these buildings I can understand the size of that area...that is...a side of a mountain! :-)

the colour version is great... hmmm... I like the reds - oranges - blues as they 'work' here, perchaps for my taste it is better the color version... but that is JUST my taste only... of course the greyscaled is very nice.
