Imageopolis Featured Photo Critique A very very authentic and original idea, Ian! It has both "order" and at the same time "disordering" for me. The restricted palette adds much to its abstract power. The texture on the wood looks nice too, but above all I find that kind of "diffuse light glow" over the whole image very interesting. Is that the result of the reflections on the water?

Another possible crop would be like on the attachment, but then it loses much of that abstract look, doesn't it?

Cheers!

Nick

Another possible crop

So this how it looked from the inside of that Chinese manned-space craft!I saw it from the outside on the news and it looked very much like one of those space craft they sent up in the sixties with a dog or monkey inside!Do you remember those?
Cheers, Tony

Interesting work - I don't know anything about Hotere though.

What are you or aren't you seeing Roger? I'd hate to misrepresent the guy, I'm messing with someone else's stuff here. I'm also keen to have another crack with a new lens I'm getting in the post.

Hotere's work is certainly extraordinary... rich, dark and full of meaning... and whilst the essence of black light is apparent in this image.. for once I am not sure you have hit the mark
