Yep. Jara is correct. This used to save enargy and one of the trees is considered to go up and down..actually that tree is prepared with some sort of a helping steps to get in there. This is a traditional thing done in south areas of sri lanka. people get a special kind of couconut alchohol which is called "TODDY" ( in singhala : "Ra" )

this is a subjective pic. Its their daily life. Probably this is the shortest way to collect coconuts. There are Coconut trees in abundant. I can see the ropes fixed at other trees also,it definitely nullify the Up and Dowd movements of the person.The position of the man in the frame is perfect. The diagonal capture and use of wide angle give the dynamism in the pic. Overall its a very well taken shot with nice details.

Because they need to collect the juice with which excellent country liquor is prepared. Walking top to top saves time and energy too, they can return fast and go for the liquor ...
