About "I've been staring at the sky tonight
Marvelling and passing time
Wondering what to do with daylight
Until I can make you mine
You are the one I want, you are the one I want

I've been thinking of changing my mind
It never stays the same for long
But of all the things I know for sure
You're the only certain one
You are the one I want, you are the one I want

I've been counting up all my wrongs
One sorry for each star
See I'd apologise my way to you
If the heavens stretched that far
You are the one I want, you are the one I want

I won't find what I am looking for
If I only "see" by keeping score
'Cos I know now you are so much more than arithmetic

'Cos if I add, if I subtract
If I give it all, try to take some back
I've forgotten the freedom that comes from the fact
That you are the sum
So you are the one
I want

When the years are showing on my face
And my strongest days are gone
When my heart and flesh depart this place
From a life that sung your song
You'll still be the one I want, you'll still be the one I want..."

Rina, I am delighted you would want to have me on your associates list. I have very modest talents as a photographer but I have a lot of fun and sometimes that communicates itself to people.

Hi Roger, thanks for dropping by. Very happy you like this image. It's become a favourite for me.

About the lens, good question, it's kinda wide-ish. Was using an 18-55mm, but also had a polariser on. I guess this is why the light falls away as it does and is actually darker on the left. After converting to tritone, I tweaked the levels a bit and aside from USM on resize, is the only photoshop work done.

Thanks for asking, I really do appreciate you taking the time out to comment. I'd like to add you to my list of associates, if that's alright. Would love to visit your portfolio at leisure but need a reminder next time I come back in to catch up on my backlog of comments!

Well, Rina, you certainly made good use of daylight in this one. Lovely B&W. It looks as if the brightness falls off in the corners. Is this because you used a wide-angle lens or was it deliberate PS work? It certainly emphasizes those nice glittery reflections in the middle...

A great feeling of infinate depth here Rina. Lovely soft tones with a splash of warmth in the clouds and I really like the shining light on the water. The island further drwas me in and adds a nice interesting element. Great capture.

Thank you also for your comments on my images Rina.

Cheers - Ann :)

Cheers Greg. You're right about the colour. I converted to tritone and used a dark brown with subtle off-whites. Thanks for noticing and dropping by to leave a comment. Much appreciated and welcomed.

Great image. Love the shimmering light. I thoght it was B/W at first but see a hint of colour in the clouds. Well composed taken in difficult low light conditions.

DEPTH is the word, what great depth and expanse of water and sky, Rina! Love the clouds and the shimmer of the water. I think the B & W makes it look more about light and space. Well done, great lighting! Regards, Ina

Thank you Janet. One of my favourite views around Auckland, aside from Rangitoto Island. Particularly on a late sunny afternoon...

Now, hows about you? Busy taking more photos, I hope! Here's a great idea; Thanksgiving - pilgrims + turkey + kids = photo op of kids stuffed in turkey suits or kids dressed as pilgrims or turkeys eating pilgrims dressed as kids... :)))))

Hope to see more stuff from you soon. Cheers!
