About This was taken Saturday at a antique car show in Egg Harbor Township. Called the 'Pumpkin Run' there were about 1200 vintage cars on display! This was taken almost exactly like I saw it. Changed the tones and added the vignetting and frame. My best to all..........John

Very vintage look John, nice conversion, I love the 'we give s&h green stamps", wow that takes you back, hahaha, not something you see these days, I wonder if people even collect them anymore! Great image, almost has the look of a Holga, looks like a great time, well captured!

Very nice feeling captured here John,
Classic car events are a fantastic place to capture nostalgia from many eras. If you would like to visit my Car and Driver section, you might find some shots that appeal to you.

Weeelllll - I figgered most folks have at least one fruit or veggie lying around the house. And they make such good subjects with all the amazing colors, textures and tones. Hopefully, we'll get to see some great photography.

Glenn, Thanks for the tip!! I will look into adding this and some others to a stock library!
I do sell My work locally.Just started about 3 months ago and I'm doing fairly well. About 30 sales so far.Not enough to quit My day job but enough to pay for My hobby!
I really appreciate Your encouragement!!!Thanks Graham!
As far as PS is concerned,.....sorry don't know the language. The man to talk to is Chris Spracklen http://www.usefilm.com/photographer/16979.html
He is the master of photoshop as far as I'm concerned!!!Check Him out!!!!!
Have a great one Graham!

Thanks a lot, John - much appreciated. Roxio Photosuite, eh? I have Photoshop Elements and I'll probably be able to convert this to PS language. I don't really know how to use PS, other than for checking images (technical), but I'd love to learn it as it is such a useful tool. Most of my stuff is simple raw camera work, usually cropped for effect. This image is definitely stock quality - perhaps you should consider putting it in stock libraries for all to see? You have SEVERAL images that would be welcomed in libraries (and perhaps earn you the $$ to buy that 6mm EFD lens you KNOW you want! :) )

Graham, John would be happy to share how He added the frame.
I use Roxio photosuite software which allows Me to Use My own photos for mats. Took a crop of pure black from a photo and use this for all My black mats. On this photo I used the edge effect which adds vignetting. I only added a small amount. Then I saved the work, went back and added the black mat over it.You can also adjust the frame size which I did to My own taste.
Happy You liked the photo Graham, I appreciate Your comments! Take care!....................John

The shot was already interesting for the scene and the cut, but the ancient treatment renders it perfect.

I?m old enough to know right from wrong? and it is wrong, unethical, and probably even sinful to want to ?steal? George Black?s commentary even if I feel it is MY commentary or at least exactly mirrors my own take on your shot! ? (? of an iconic, nostalgic scene of yesteryear? )? this is EXACTLY what I was going to say? word for word? I was going to write EXACTLY what Black wrote and now I got NADA? big ZERO?

? fine photograph John, a wonderful sense of place ? and the picture managed as always with intelligent attention to detail.

Sincerely, C

Hi John,

Don't ya just LOVE these old places and cars?
And both of these are really old.

I like your toning and even the faded edges add to it!

1200 cars! Wow, lots to look at, bet you got just a couple of pictures!

Nice work,
Have a GR8 evening,
Lori :)

A step into the time machine. Does the flag have 48 or 50 stars? Regardless, it is a most impressive image.

Wonderful work indeed my friend. The only critique I have is the plastic fold up table, which doesn't fit?

Once again well done,
