About Just after I took the young woman in the previous photo I noticed these twisted columns... minimalist sculptures... and decided to add them to my "Statues" folder. I used my very wide 20mm lens, careful to keep it level, and cut away the empty foreground. It was late afternoon, as you may be able to tell from the warmth of the sunlit areas.

Love it - patterns within patterns within patterns. The lighting was tricky but you managed it very well. Rodney

I like the perspective and the angle of shooting! Also the warm lighting. Great chessboard like floor!

Thanks, Colin. I really like this shot and was feeling hard done-by with so few comments, so I appreciate your encouraging comment! Exposure took a bit of thought. Also a bit of post processing with a plug-in called "dynamic range compression" which brings up the shadows (and optionally dims down the highlights) to as to give something that looks better on the screen.

A good oblique perspective on a very geometrical environment. An interesting, art-on-architecture image. The minimalist twists, try (and fail) to inject some aestheticism, into the drab, square architecture. You've shown this nicely, Roger.

The exposure is very good, as it would be quite easy to overexpose those bright areas, in the afternoon sun. Very well executed, Roger.

A very fine addition to your statues folder, Roger.
Perfect exposure and perspective.
Best regards, Chris
