Another close (not that up...) with my 300 4.5 EDIF AI. Shot with my F2A whose meter cells seem to be dying - they exposed about one and a half stop under. A shame since it's in mint conditions - except for this. Never mind. Any good handhel meter can extend the pleasure of shooting with it for many more years.
The film is Fuji's Provia, scanned on my Coolscan III, a combination I simply love. Seems like they were made for each other since there's very little need for color correction.
The flower was close for a 300, I can't remember the distance - years are showing its effects ;-) - BUT speed and aperture were 500/8. Aha! Great color contrast and detail. Purely Nikon. ED glass show what it's up to here. And this lens has a particular detail that shows no effect: on the border of the front element there are what seems to be a fault on the coating like small half moons. It's strange but the only real effect was in my pocket - it was a bargain!
