Hey James, thanks for your thoughts on this one. I chose this angle with the intention of creating depth by including the stem. I've just got back today from a holiday in a tropical part of Oz, so I have lots more florals to share shortly - hope you will like them :)

Really cool composition! I love the tight view and especially the petal that makes a vertical. I wonder what it would look like if you had shifted the camera up a bit to place the "center" of the flower closer to the power point and also moving the bottom petal so it would intersect the bottom side of the frame. You've also captured some wonderful detail in the white petals.

Thanks Amanda! We're going to Noosa for a week. First time all my family will be together since my wedding 7 years ago! Al is racing in the big triathlon up there. Cant wait to be in the sun!
