I like this shot Roger. Looks like time stood still (eventhough you captured it forever). VMT

Your recent beach shot was an object lesson in high-key technique. I feel as if I've had an object lesson in cropping! Thanks... I think I'll now add the original, if only to show that I, too, did think about framing when I cropped it! This new lens is delighting me, although for some reason grain seems more prominent.

Greetings Roger ? much going on here, lots of rich stuff, several good pictures, many ?idiosyncratic? details? - hope you don?t mind my playing with your frame ? just some ideas for possible crops?

Thanks, John. It was Sunday morning! (Don't usually commute then, but I've had to do it two weekends in a row and am feeling rather frazzled.) Thank you for usually choosing to comment on my more neglected, ah, masterpieces.

Looks remarkably quiet for a Tokyo station! I like the concept here, with enough in the image to give all sorts of suggestions about what might be going on. AJ

No George, this is from the central area of a 35mm frame, I only had my wide-ish 40mm lens with me. It's my latest acquisition, and doing very well, I find! And that red thing? Just a red flag... The MF SLR is off for repair.

Roger - Is this from your MF SLR? Getting this kind of detail from a cropped image is pretty darn good. Is that red object the railwayman is holding, the famous (infamous) pushing tool they use to help passengers board a crowded train?
