Excellent close-up. For what it's worth, I find the brown triangle an intriguing and sophisticated element. ;-)

Best regards,

Thanks for your excellent observation Ina, good eye. I'll experiment a bit with sharoness here. I like the softness of the image here as posted, but I the think some selective sharpening couls add. Thanks for your feedback!

As to instruments, I agree that they are very beautiful. This one (a 7' Grand) is indeed very beautiful inside and out. Yet for some reason I have trouble caputuring it's beauty in imagery. Perhaps the size or the lighting where it stands... I will keep trying though. Thanks again!

Very good abstract Mark! I love musical instruments, although I can't play any, they have a lot of visual appeal. Great contrast, good crop, I'd just sharpen it a bit more only on the white part. The black doesn't need it, probably that's where the focal point was.

Thank you Kathy. The brown you see is the hardwood floor under the piano. I'm not sure if I like it or not. The original shot is slightly wider and had a bit more floor in it, which seemed to somehow add interest (sorta). I cropped the shot down to balance the lines of black and white a little better, but that also reduced the amount of brown there. I could desaturate the brown or try to crop it out. I'll experiment a bit more... Thanks again for you comment!

So you are a photographer AND and musician! I'm inmpressed! This is a very striking shot...dramatic black against white. The one thing that I can see is that dab of brown in the bottom right corner. I think it distracts from the drama that you have going here. Good work!
Kathy
