Thanks Michael, I am glad you liked this one. Appreciate the time you spend in looking into my other photgraphs and giving your opinion. Yes, I need to buy some more accesories to capture the way I want to, irrespective of whether the conditions allow me to do or not. Neutral density filetr it is, the next time :)

Thnx
Dev

I like this composition better than the previous post of this waterfall. I think the tighter crop and color treatment is more flattering to the subject than the larger B&W image. As to the shutter speed: I think one second can be appropriate for capturing waterfalls. More time would cause the delicate detail still present in the water to blur into a smooth ribbon (evident in the upper section of this fall as seen in your B&W posting). That, too, can be appropriate -- depending on the shooter's vision. In this scene I like the delicate treatment of water you've showcased by cropping out the top section of the fall. It might be fun to shoot several variations of such a scene, all at different shutter speeds, just to gauge how much the mood is changed by altering the appearance of the water-flow. I use a neutral density filter to accomplish slower shutter speeds than existing light will allow. Good work, nice portfolio!

Thanks pooriya for your comments. I did try taking with much slower shutter speed, but, the light was so strong, every time I went above 1 sec, the image was getting over exposed, even with f/22.

great view and shot, but if the speed slower than it it's better than now.

The framing is very good, and you've captured the water nicely. Well done.
