Another photo taken in the Algarve region of southern Portugal.Late afternoon on Montegordo beach when local fishermen and their kids search for clams until the sun burns down into the ocean.A magic time for any photographer.
When hyper-realism appeared in the field of painting, many painters hated it. Now that painting appears in the field of photography, many photographers hate it. Ok, that's the way it goes. It's called History of Art - no more, no less...:-)
Besides that, maybe a different opinion on this work... I saw above, twice, "nicely done". I'm not convinced that the painting part is nicely done. It isn't badly done either, but to me, it is way too systematic in the pattern. Working with layers and keeping you eraser brush ready at all times for each layer would allow you to get a lot better than that, a lot more painting-like, and a lot less systematic. Basically, more alive. Best regards.
