About Colourful or WHAT! First time I've seen a troupe like it at Notting Hill Carnival, not that I've been to many lol. But what chance for a few good colourful shots. Weatherman got it wrong again lol.

Thx for your comments Tran. Yes it's quite an event It's over two days, and each day around quarter of a million people turn out for it. The first day (Sun) is a Family Day, with lots of kids in the Carnival itself, and the second day (M0n) is the Adults day. I was alittle worried, as people are warned NOT to take anything expensive as you could be a target for pick pockets/Muggers. And my Camera was worth over 1000 pounds, luckily I got it insured the day before. The Carnival is well worth a visit if you are in London, on the August Bank Holiday.

Hi Chris,

Thx for your comments. I too have been very busy with weddings. Two of my best female friends got married recently, and on the first wedding I had to give the bride away, AND be the official photographer. On the second wedding, I was just the Official Photographer, not that that's an easy job either lol. So have spent many an evening editing pics on PS at home.

I have a request of you. Please could you let me know how you frame up your photos on this site and get that effect that makes the photo look like it's off the surface? Ps. I like the York Station Sunset pic you took, BUT would've been better if you put a larger view of it on the site, as it's petitness does not do it justice, OK I can't see it properly lol.

Ian.

Cheers Kev' for your comments. It's cool what other people see in our photos, that WE didn't realise. I like your "Looking up" shot, sharp and colourful....Keep looking up mate.

Ian.

You did a good job in singling out the one girl while keeping the surrounding in the shot. Keep up the good work.

Ty Galal, Your positive comments are most welcome as always. It was a great tow days for taking photos. I've been VERY busy with my camera this last 3 weeks, what with the Carnival and having to be the photographer at two weddings. Hopefully I'll be able to upload some of the latter soon.

Very nice capture! Full of colors. I like the photojournalistic aspect of it. Must be a very interesting event.
