Hi John. I know I already told you that I like this one. However, I was just looking at your pictures again and this made me smile. I came to my daughter's today. She is resting right now and is in the beginning stages of labour. Soon, she'll be 'Mother and Child' and I'll be a grandmother!!

Hello John, It's been around 8 months since I was last on this site looking at your stuff and I 've noticed an unbelievable contrast in your work between then and now. You're putting out some top quality stuff. Keep it up! Bren.

Hi John, well suited to BW. Subdued contrast and light and texture of stems are what I like in this.

Hello Peter! they were in fact a golden color and that is the reason for the gray color. I tried to brighten it but lost detail in the petals! Thanks for Your comments Peter! Really appreciate them!!!
My best.......................John

Wow, what great b&w work ..
would have expected the petals to be more whitish than now grayish..so to present a better contrast.. of course i cannot tell if they were actually white in real, or some yellow or other colour, hence the grayish aspect ..

It doea look like one is supporting the other. This is quite effective in B&W, John.

Great detail and well composed - lovely tones. I think it can be brightened a little to add some crispness to the water. Otherwise excellent. Well done John my friend.

A comment on your comment, Don. John's picture seems pretty over-all grey on my screen too. Your Picture seems much brighter and whiter. Larry

I am curious John, this appears somewhat gray on my monitor. I have corrected for my monitor and was wondering what it looks like on yours. Let me know if my monitor is going bad. Don.I like the shot very much and it works well in black and white.

Just gorgeous. Flowers in b/w can be really beautiful when they're rendered like these.

Cheers,
