i dont think the praying mantis is ugly at all, a fascinating creature really :>) was the entire insect visible from the other side of the plant? this shot is good but a different angle would be interesting as well.

Superb macro. A wee bit more DOF with sharp head would not hurt, IMO. And I thought about a scarifice @the left for a square format here, since I think there is not much that contributes to the shot

yea colors are good... a lil more dof would have been nice... also the background seems to a building... dont know if a more natural background would work better... because the building color matches the mantis antenna well..
i notice that pretty much all images are taken by kessia... is morgan around for moral support only? B)
