Petal Very soothing I can almost smell it, need a calming influence. Getting ready for our cruise round Norway ending up in Amsterdam [where we hope to be able to meet up with Rene]. I am never good at getting organised and after having the weekend away with that crazy lot am still recovering. So wish you could have been there and hope there will be another chance to get together. THank you for your comments Margaret

What a beautiful field! Love the abundance of color filling up the frame. Only thing that distracts me is the couple of flowers out of focus in the foreground, other than that, excellent capture! :)

Hi Petal! Yep this is exactly what I had in mind! I knew I could get you to do a floral shot! I have to agree with Alastair about the focus, but yes this fits the description "Lavendar Blue" Thanks for taking the suggestion! :)

Love lavendar! Own a book by that name loaded with pics of the French countryside ...oh how I'd love to go there. It happens that I enjoy flowers captured in this manner. No need to be original (per your about)...they are beautiful to see no matter what. The green and purple are wonderful together. Thank you for your comment on mine!

Dear Alastair,
Thanks for the nitting.... ;-D!!! I wasn't too sure myself which one to upload... and decided for this one because it's a bit less 'crowded', but it's always good to hear another opinion... and about the focal point being half way... with these small flowers that was perhaps not the greatest idea.... ;-D!!! But hey, I'm a woman so I'm allowed to change my mind..... again and again... and yet again.... LOL!!! BTW in the other shot you can play 'spot the B'.... although that may be a tad hard in this small version.... ;-D!!! Thanks again for your input.... !!!

Aw.... poor Petal! I guess you're referring to the Newcastle meet on Saturday? Well we'll take loads of pictures for you so you can see what it was like.... But at the moment its looking very much like raincoats and brollies so maybe you won't be missing much.
This is a lovely image Petal with a fabulous coverage of flowers but (my turn to nit-nit ;-) )I think the focal are is too far back in the frame. If you look at the near flowers they are all out of focus and the focus doesn't improve really until half way back. For me this is distrating as the eye initially hunts for a focus area at the front of th image. I think that with the front flowers focused and the rear ones unfocused the image would have far more depth and also a lot more impact. But that could be just me!
Beautiful colours and very well done to find such a glorious display in the city!
Alastair
