About Took this last week in Montana...Really Hazy due to heavy rains in the Valley the day before...gave it a pretty mystical look. What do you all think?

Great shot - love the light cast and that beautiful natural frame. Well done.
I am laughing - I think it's cute your mom edited you. :) I do think her crop is good - keeps the eye a little more centered and not drawn away by the branches in the bottom of the frame.

See...I like the crop you did...I tried to do what you suggested in your email to me but I couldn't make it work. One thing that I like about leaving it is that it pushed the window towards the top so that it didn't get centered by the crop and I wanted to give a sense of height by the trees in the foreground, but I like what you did with it to! :) You have great opinions about art...always have!

Really like this one and almost hesitate to upload a slightly different crop on this. I took a little off of the top without loosing the blue of the sky that is peaking through the leaves. Then I took just a tiny bit off of the bottom, but left that wonderful twisted branch that comes in from the left and reaches towards the right. It is almost parallel to the top branch and does much to help frame your window in to Heaven. Great title for this. This little window that you found to look through to the valley contains so many interesting angles and shapes. The colors in the foreground are so rich, and with the haze you can almost feel the heat and humidity. But this shot is a real pleasure to look at. Let me know what you think about the cropped version. Mom

I can't say anything better than what's already been said, and I agree with it all completely. This really is a great shot, thanks for showing us.

Breathtakingly beautiful. Your framing is perfect and the sun is just right. The haze completes the composition. I aspire to take shots like this.

Thanks Mary! It really felt like that in person to. I was sitting at about 6000 ft. or so. Could have sat there all night. :)

The composition with the off centeed light framed by the lovely green trees looks like an invitation into some kind of fairy tale land.
