About Words cannot describe the beauty of this flower which is called "the Passion Flower", its a perennial vine climbing with tendrils. The flowers are heavily sweet-scented, 2- to 3-inches wide, combining white, green, blue, and purple.

This flower is a naturally grown medicinal herb, which is used in the treatment of insomnia, nervousness, and also used as a sedative and reduces spasms.

You know why it's called "Passion Flower"?, it's said that the Spanish Christian missionaries thought it resembled the crown of thorns and named it after the Passion of Christ-his suffering following the Last Supper until his death

Camera settings: 1/100 sec - f/32 - ISO 400 - FL 105mm.

Hi Arwa,
How are you my friend, I hope you're happy with your husband and with being a bride :0)
Actually I'm so convinced with the 105mm micro lens..., I don't know what does it look like using the 300 mm, I think the 105mm is more than enought but the 300mm will help more if you're capturing small tiny creatures (like flies, bees, etc..) coz it's then you'll be standing little more away from it than with the 105mm lens and hence they will not get afraid and move away.
Thanx again for your comment my friend,
Khaled.

Lot of combination & composition seen Khaled, but this is an extra ordinary composition, its really has a seperate voice from others, nice my dear, it has a separate meaning in India, its related to 'Mahabharata's Pandava' love, asim

Here we have the fruit "Maracuya" from the passion plant it is exquisite in juices and desserts, their flower is the passion , but I don't know if the passion of your picture has the same fruit that we have here. It is also a climbing and gives flowers and fruits the whole year. it is almost immortal and it grows even in any small piece of land. At home I sowed one in a small garden of 30 cm of wide and the plant invaded all my wall, roof and the neighbor's house, hahahahaha!!!
Finally we had to take out it, because the neighbor complained about the black worms that inhabits in the plant, hahahaha!!! it is a very nutritious fruit.
It has citric acid and moderate quantities of vitamin C. It is very rich in nicotinamide, a vitamin of the group of the vitamins B.
it nutritious Value is of: 75 kcal, vitamin B12 , the vitamin A of 700 i.u., vitamin C of the magnesium 20, and of the magnesium 1,5 for the portion 100g.
Industrial transformation: Mainly juice.
I attach here to pic of the fruit

Wowww, so well captured macro and focused, colors and lighting are superb, and the geometry is exceptional (3 fond rotational symmetry over 5 fond roational symmetry around the same point ) and the violet radial background adds alot to the centre, well done 7+++
