Part of the problem with this photo is it was very overcast and with more DOF the photo would have been either to dark or very noisy...I chose this solution Thanks Den

Hey Larry, these things can be such a challenge yet come up with amazing results. My own reaction would be to go for more DOF. Boy, you've just proved how wrong that can be. You've really homed in on the bug's main features to maximum effect. Absolutely perfect!!! Nice one.

I don't mind it as framing element, that's a nice touch; but IMHO it just interferes too much with bug's antennas making a distraction on subject...
