About Came across this Red Kangaroo dozing in the afternoon sun. He looks pretty placid here, but can be quite agressive during the mating season or when cornered, trying to disembowel his opponent with long sharp claws on his hind feet.

Thank you for your interest, Gayle. Most of the time the Kangaroos will jump away very quickly when disturbed. It's only if they are cornered that the males can be dangerous. Many a hunter's dog has found out how dangerous the hard way. Cheers, Ann.

wonderful wildlife image,Ann...do they pretty much leave people alone if you stumble across them in their territory? Fascinating and beautiful animal captured very well with good clarity, color and composing...i have so many questions about them in the wild,so guess i should google it instead of bombarding you with them..LOL..regards,gayle
