Brenda About 100 feet, and then a bit of a crop to minimize the background. not a lot of time, this are all wild animals, so you don't have much time to set up a shot. fire like crazy while they are in view then sort out the pix. got several good ones of this guy though. The only zoo picture I ever posted was the Lion and I made a note of it. I like the real thing. jc

What a great image of this guy. Love how intent he is, yes he looks ready to bolt.
Extremely nice coloring, good job, Lori ;)

Another great one. I had a mother and two young ones go accross the highway in front of me this morning. They got across and I didn't have to slow up too much. Lot of them getting killed here now. Don

Ron here is the shot b4 post. I bumped the contrast, and level. the contrast adjustment is where I saw the isolation effect change if thats what you mean by being " stuffed" like a second layer pasted on.

Have you got any jobs going at your place Jim. I'd look forward to going to work when there's sights like this to see. Maybe I'd never get there though. Boy, don't you have an influence over these guys to get the poses you do. Beautiful animal so expertly captured. Den

An absolutely beautiful shot of the buck, Jim! Great colours, details and clarity! I understand why you're doing it, but too bad you have to put your url through the image. Dave.
