this breaks my heart. i also thought based on the lack of blood and other details that the dog must've already been dead; people can be so horrible. I like the composition more in this one; both have very rich colors which are beautiful if you ignore the subject, sort of ironic.
Surreal in some way as he looks peaceful, with out life there is no death and that what the shot represents to me. B&W would look good also but would take the warmth out of the image which is the main essence.
well, in my opinion, both are great. i think that if this one was just a bit less centered it would be the better one. i would have taken the camera a bit more to the right. Uri.
