About The thing that initially drew me to this was how the crack was shaped like the foot. Unlike most shots, where I 'explore' it with various zooms, exposures and angles, I just took this one shot and proceded to my car. (I didn't even chimp..but I started smiling when I saw the image on my computer!)

This framing is straight out of the camera, but I did use a threshold layer to deepen the black of the cracks, and boosted saturation a bit.

I hope you like it.

Congrats, Paul!

Isn't it funny how sometimes we can try and try to get "the shot" and then, every once in a while, we will just snap something and it turns out to be something great? Gotta love that! )

I gotta be careful here. It could just be a great abstract of all the worn off paint OR it could be a liberal hippie trick statement about the public roads and parking lots not being kept up cause we're spendin' money on other things.....hmmm, i just can't be sure....... let me get a cold Bud and ponder........ :~> 7 / 7

Very nice texture and colors. This makes a great abstract taken out of it's everyday context.

Paul,
I love the colors ... and the cracks in combination ... so that the black and blue form such an active interplay.
Thank goodness there wasn't a handicapped car to get in your way of taking this cool image.
Very, very nice.
Mark
