After years of living in near complete autarky, Albania freed itself from an oppressive regime in 1990.This picture was shot in a remote mountain village of Albania shortly after the revolution. It took a 3 hours march with donkey and horse to reach it ? and to be the first foreigner since the german soldiers of the World War II to visit it. I still remember the incredible hospitality I received there.
