Patrick, you don't need any help from me! You already ARE a great photographer... but I really appreciate the personal answer. It was, er, "mistifying" me. ahem.

Thanks a lot Roger for your continuous support I always appreciate hearing from you, you comments and critics help me a lot in becomaing a better photographer. Here is the explanation to my shot
The heavy fog kept the sky really grey but the distant sun rising created a nice orange color thru the fog. With the position of the wide angle lens the reflection of the water was more from the overhead sky then the far away sunrise dimmed by the fog that resulted on a greyish white reflection. My polarizer turned the right way also kept 100% of the glare.

Another nice rockpool. The light on the rock to the left doesn't look entirely right. Did you pull the shadows up a bit digitally?

I've seen that Canon 10-22 used very effectively elsewhere, and I would have guessed you'd make good use of it. Just your style, right? I often look at your reflections, then am surprised when they don't seem to be reflecting what's actually above them, as here, where the distant mist is coloured by the sun and the reflection is as white as milk. Gorgeous image, though, as usual.

Fantastic shot! I really like the angle and perspective... how do u do that? Is that thru your lens or just some positioning techinique?

Thank you Jim, Naomi and Todd. To answer your question Todd, Since the sun was behing heavy Fog I simply used a 2 stop ND Grad and adjusted it in a diagonal position to try to retain as much detail in the top left rock as possible.

quite an incredible shot! all sections of the frame seemed well exposed. did you use a grad. filter, or any complex PS work at all? well done...

Beautiful sunrise. I especially like the colors and that you were able to capture the texture of the rocks without losing the details in the shadows. -- Naomi
