Incredible work Lori. Yes, it may have taken 10hours to do but the splendour will last a lifetime.
I could quite easily see this displayed on canvas and hung on the wall "LARGE" !!!
Superbly composed and a great patchwork quilt effect :-)

This took about a total of 10 hours...Sometimes it takes a week of many hours before I can say "YES, I like this, this is it!" So many times resizing each component, effects individually, moving them around........but I love doing it (well, sometimes I can get frustrated) That's when I just have to leave it, and come back to it another time. I would HATE to have to do this under pressure or a time line.

I'm not the one to critique this, however, i like it very much.
well done for desaturating the flowers in the bottom half of the frame, otherwise they would have been destracting from the other flowers, the main point of interest.

I really want to pursue this, maybe to the point of showing, and who knows...this is how dreams happen.
I've had many friends comment on the pieces I have displayed at home, and advice as to showing them. I love doing this.

lori, first of all, thanks for the kind comment on my "god's view" image!!!!
It gave me a chance to peruse your work...
This is an interesting piece...I see you have a big interest in photographing flowers, and I think the better ones are where you have made the flowers, at least momentarily, ambiguous, or rather briefly difficult to grab hold of what they are....
Georgia O'keefe used to really abstract her flowers, and I think it worked much more than most run of the mill flower close ups, and here you've taken abstraction pretty far!!! And I like it!!! For someone previously shy with digital, you're doing some great PS work! This could be a great starting point - I'd love to see you take this idea further...

I used two cameras; the Pentax Opeio S4
and a Canon Powershot G2
On this artwork, both cameras would have been used.

Beautiful LOri, An excellent way to display a lot of work in one picture. I might have chosed another color for the yellow orange part of the border. I don't know just which but try the blue or pink. It should be beautiful printed that big. Don.

Lori - I really like this collage of cactus flowers and textures of the desert. Your choice of colors and composition is very effective and captures the unique diversity of this landscape that is often overlooked in a subtle way. Your time was well spent and your results prove it. I too would like to see the large print.
