There are a few different ways you can do this. When I shot this it was past dusk, almost totally dark outside. I opened my aperture all the way, and set my shutter speed for 30 seconds. I released the shutter, waited about 10-12 seconds and QUICKLY sat in the chair, as motionless as possible. With the long exposure, the quick "flop" into the chair doesn't even get picked up, and you are left with a combination of the first part of the shot, without you.....and the last portion of the shot, with you sitting there. Obviously, you can play with different time combinations, to give more, or less saturation to the subject. It's cool as hell to play around with. I had so much fun, that I had a laugh (and a beer) with my identical twin ghost....below.
I want to know how to do this!...have never done anything involving layers if that is what you did?...very cool concept well realized,Brad...good choice for B/W..regards,gayle
So the ghost are relaxing while you are working? ;) Or is it you relaxing and the ghost working? Those ghosts, are they deriving from the past, the memory? Nice idea and imagination!!!
