About This is a small fence our neighbour at the lake has for decoration. I tried a slight glass filter for a different look. It seemed to suit the picture better than the original crispness.

It's a very interesting photo, rich I can say because of the so many elemente here...even the fence is NOT only woods here but many plants and cirqles...plus that ...birdhouse (?) that adds a lot, excellent!

Kees and Carolyn Thanks for the comment. I have PS 7 The glass filter is found under Filter--Distort--Glass. There are options for amount of distortion, etc. I hope this helps.

This is so beautiful! It has somewhat of a rustic look with the fence! I love what the glass filter has done. Is that a filter on photoshop? I have photoshop but have never noticed that filter before. Really lovely! I love the framing too.

Ditto what everyone else said. Just wonderful. Can see this shot nested in to a quilt. I really like - that's what else I have been working on - using some of my flower photos in a quilt - just haven't found the pattern that I want to use yet - but I will. Jan

Thank you, Shane. I wasn't sure about the look of the original but liked it. So, thought I'd experiment and try a filter to bring out the character of it better. I know it's not perfect, but I'm learning little bits at a time.

Alastair, thanks for visiting. The rings are wreaths made out of grapevines. They are just there for decoration. Our neighbour has a way of decorating that makes things look quite quaint. She always does a good job.

Interesting fence Mary! Those decorations are quite unusual! Do the rings provide a frame for a plant to grow into? Love the rustic feel and bird house perched precariously on the top... Well done!

Yes,, it does give the look of a painting, especially the fence. Gives it sort of a 3D look also. Del.

Bob, of course you may say so. Honest comments and personal opinions are what I ask for. Maybe the word 'cold' is what I was looking for last night. I thought it a pretty picture, but there was just not the inviting feeling this one should have. That's why I used the filter to give it a bit more character. I think it does some. Having said that, I wish I had the creativity and talent of some on UF who could turn this into something quite grand.

Rafi, thanks for the visit. The original is pretty much what you see here. I did remove part of compost bin and some hose. I have just recently had a chance to play with some of the filters and thought I'd try one with this picture to give it a bit more of a different feel.

OH WOW Mary this is lovely. I just love this kind of stuff, that wooden fence is wonderful, an eye treat with the dead ivy and the bird house, I really like all the shrubs and trees in the various locations bringing out the beauty of this fence. A very lovely image you've taken here. The framing is very subtle and well done also...:):)Linda

Well done, dear Mary. I don't know what the original photo looked like, but this is excellent, inducing an quiet, peaceful atmosphere.
Thank you for your very kind comments on my "Saturday aftrenoon walk", my "Passge to trains" and my "Best friends 1939."
An integrated flash is what I call (it may not be its official name) a flash that is part of the camera, as opposed to an external flash, which can be separated from the camera.

Rafi
